Double Stroller With Car Seat Compatability
Parents of twins or other multiples may want a double stroller which can accommodate two car seats for infants simultaneously. The TwinRoo+ is a tough, frame stroller that takes 23 different car seat models (car seats and adapters are sold separately).
It also comes with a massive storage basket, parent cup holders and reversible seating with best-in-class legroom between the two seats.
The Baby Trend(r), Universal Double Snap-N-Go (r)
The Baby Trend(r) Universal Double Snap-N-Go(r) is a fantastic stroller that will fit most infant car seat carriers. It comes with a large storage basket for storage, as well as a tray for parents with two cup holders. The stroller is light and folds easily for storage or travel. It is one of our most maneuverable strollers and has a nice side-by-side design. It isn't very good in our jog test and has trouble with higher curbs. The swivel front wheels struggle to stay on obstacles.
The adapters for this stroller are easy to install and work with all major brands. The stroller can only fit one infant car seat at a time and parents with twins will have to look for a different way to use their infant carseats simultaneously. The UPPAbaby Vista v2 double and the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double have excellent scores for their capacity to accommodate two infant car seats at once.
While the Baby Trend is easy to use and comes with a nice basket it falls short in our ride comfort metric. The stroller isn't equipped with shocks to withstand the bumps and vibrations of the road, which can be hard on little passengers. Also the lack of a seat recline means children will feel every bump on the road. This may not be a problem as passengers get older but it is something to consider when your children are still infants or toddlers.
The frame stroller weighs less than 40 pounds. However, it is heavy when packed with cargo and passengers. The lack of an jog lock makes it hard to jog and it struggled in navigating gravel, grass and sidewalks in our tests. The BOB Revolution Flex is a better option for jogging, and it weighs less at around 41 lbs. It is still a little difficult to lift, however there is a handle that could be used to accomplish this. The jog-strollers have larger wheels that provide more performance off-road. They also have a better built chassis and are constructed of durable materials that are able to endure long-term use.
The Contours(r), Options Elite V2 double stroller
The Contours(r) Options Elite V2 has all the features that parents appreciate: reversible seats one-hand reclining, adjustable legs rests, zippered extensions to both canopies, and a cupholder for the parent. It also comes with some fantastic new features, including the height-adjustable handles and quilted seat. It has seven different configurations of seating, including the hard-to-find double-rear-facing position. This allows kids to see eachother while watching their parents.
The stroller's compatibility with a variety of infant car seats is among its greatest features. It gives families more options and keeps them from being tied to a single brand of stroller that works with baby car seats. The Options Elite is compatible with Graco and Britax infant car seats using a universal adapter that also works with the UPPAbaby Mesa and Baby Jogger City Select double car seats. It even has a second adapter for those who have twins or wish to use two infant car seats.
It's not a side-byside stroller, so it has the look of one stroller and can be used in most aisles and doors with ease. While it's not as movable like a jogging-style stroller it's a great choice for road trips and shopping excursions. It's heavier than other double strollers, but not too heavy to lift.
The seats are comfy for kids and the storage bin is large enough. The canopy is also large and can be unzipped to provide more sun protection. However, it doesn't have a large storage space for necessities for parents that some families might consider to be a hassle.
This stroller has the foot brake, a safety harness and five-point harnesses for each child. The front wheels can be locked for added security and the handles are ergonomically designed. It is easy to fold and can stand up when folded. It doesn't fold with one hand as some of the other top strollers however it's not difficult to do after a few hours of practice.
The Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double
The Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double is a budget-friendly model that can grow with your family, offering car seat compatibility and reversible seating within a sleek, modern stroller frame. This stroller has easy-to-use everyday features and a convenient, one-handed fold that self-stands which is remarkable for a less expensive model. It does have an unmistakably heavier feel than the majority of competition and smaller wheels that struggle when pushing off-road or through tight turns and narrow doors.
This stroller is compatible with two infant car seats or toddler seats (sold separately) and no adapters are needed. The frame of the stroller can be extended in seconds by adding an additional seat. This is made without the need of tools or additional components. It can also be set up in 23 different ways in the USA to accommodate infants and toddlers at different heights. The second seat can also be used to cradle baby at a comfortable angle when in infant mode or, for older children in stroller mode, with three reclining positions and a footrest that is adjustable in five positions.
A large, oversized storage basket, as well as back and front-accessible seat pockets increase this stroller's utility and the padded, contoured seat offers the most comfortable ride for passengers. A retractable canopy keeps children shielded from the sun, and a peek-aboo window allows parents to keep an eye on their little ones.
By adding the accessory Stroller Rider Board creates a tandem for siblings to ride in tandem, or be utilized as an alternative to the standard toddler seat. The flex-hold cupholder is able to hold a variety sizes of drinks, and the stroller is easily foldable with the toddler seat attached, making it easy to access storage space.
Most reviewers appreciate the ease with which the Pivot Xpand double stroller expands to accommodate the second seat. A few have noted that it is difficult to attach an infant car seat onto the integrated mounts, whereas attaching the second toddler seat is easier and quicker. Evenflo offers the option of video chat for customers to ask any questions or seek assistance in installing car seats. The only other issue is the short warranty.
The Jeep Bravo For 2
The Bravo For 2 is a great stroller for siblings who are close in age. It is simple to put together right out from the box and unlike other sit-and-stand strollers it is surprisingly light at just 23 pounds. second hand double buggy recline in different positions so that your infant or toddler can rest. There is also a footrest for older children who require it. The cushioned handle bar is a good position for older children to grip while standing, even if wearing mittens. Many parents have reported that this feature alone makes it safer than the vast majority of its rivals.
The stroller also features an upholstered seat in the back that can accommodate children up to about two years older. This allows you to keep your infant rear-facing for longer. This is a huge benefit for parents adhering to the #TurnAfter2 campaign which encourages children and babies to remain rear facing until they reach two years of age. This seat is easy to buckle and has the same five-point harness that is used in the front seat.
Another plus for the Bravo For 2 is that it will accept the Chicco KeyFit or Fit2 car seat in the front. You simply push down the front seat, snap in your infant carrier, and listen for the sound that indicates it is safe. This feature makes it one the most versatile double strollers on the market. It also allows you to avoid wasting money by buying a stroller that is only used once and ends up in your garage, or donated to a second-hand store.
This stroller has only one problem it doesn't include a cup holder or tray for parents. The storage space is also restricted. It's a great option for families with a child who is walking all the way and a child in a car seat up front. It is also a great option for travel, as it folds easily into a compact size that can be gate-checked into an airplane or tucked away in your trunk.
